RNRL lost a great friend and supporter last weekend with the sad passing of Jamie James

Those of us fortunate enough to have known Jamie will remember him following the Brothers long after Jordan had left the Corps arriving for games either on his motorbike or in his battered old motorhome, always a welcome sight!

If you are wondering how he got to wear the Brothers shirt well he joined his son Jordan to play in a testemonial match for another Brother Gareth 'Knocker' White.

The following words have been written by Wayne Okell and sum up the thoughts of all of us who had the pleasure of knowing Jamie

"[i]It is with the deepest sadness and heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to our Brother, Jamie James, who passed away peacefully last weekend. He has been the most constant individual over the past 20 years watching his son Jordan start his Rugby League from Royal Marine to Wigan Warriors and to Captaining the Welsh National side! His family have grown up with the team, Joel and Jamie Junior have gone from young boys to fine you g menand along with Gemma are indded a credit to him and Bev. We have all benefitted from his patience, wise words, grit and determination but most of all the love, care and compassion he has shown all of us with thelightest of touches.
We will see you on the other side Big Fella and it will of course be you getting the first round!

Fair winds and following seas"[i]

Rest in peace old friend

All our sympathies and condolences go to the family at this sad time
