In their first fixture since 2011 the RN Vets avenged the defeat last time out under lights at Burnaby Road with a great win over the Army RATS (Race Against Time and Senility) opening the competition with a 22-16 victory. A converted try in the dying moments of the game gave the home side a famous victory against the Army

Coached by Wayne Okell the Navy side held off a spirited RATS team scoring some good trys to get a win on the first outing for many years.
It is hoped to develop this opener into a more formal programme throughout the year but this depends on numbers so if you have worn the Brothers jersey in the past or are ex RN and would be interested in playing again message this website and your name will be passed to the Coaching team.
