Although fantastic success of our 25th season is still fresh in the mind we are of course looking to the future and our new players. Identifying new talent is not always easy however we have a secret (or not so secret) weapon in Mr Steve Penberthy better known as Stevie P.

As our Coaching administrator and year after year Steve packs his grip and tours the RN empire conducting grass roots coaching sessions with new and not so new entries to the service. These sessions not only give RNRL coaching staff a heads up on the potential talent new to the service but gives the individuals a briefing on the Rugby League pathway embedded within the Royal Navy. This system of grass root coaching sessions has proved invaluable over the years in spotting the stars of the future not only to the benefit of RNRL but to the individual players themselves.
