Following the meeting our Chairman Cdre. Paul Carroll RN has issued the following update on the way ahead for the 2020 season
COVID-19 is hitting the country hard and has had a huge impact on Rugby League in the UK. At times like these people look to the Armed Forces for confidence and leadership. Consequently, to help you all play your part I wanted to give you three simple messages.
First, the Committee are working hard to ensure that this season and next will still be a success. We are working on plans to be ready for when the season starts with a continued focus on IS 20.
Second, both men’s and ladies’ tours are still on so keep fit ready to compete for places!
Finally, we are playing our wider role across the RN and society. Head Coach Steve ‘Locky’ Lockton is working with the Royal British Legion and former Brother Danny Fallon to produce a fitness video aimed at a senior audience trapped at home over the coming months. Alongside the fitness video a player’s video is being produced for our valued sponsors and the wider RNRL community talking about how we are still working towards a bright future.
Stay safe and keep active!
Cdre Paul Carroll RN
