The Royal Marines Corps team first two fixtures of the season are now confirmed.

The first match is the now traditional fixture at Wigan St Patricks for the Elms Darbyshire Trophy named after two Royal Marines from the area who made the ultimate sacrifice whilst on operational duty. There are also two further trophies to be presented on the day, again in memory of local lads who lost their lives on duty. The man of the match is awarded in memory of another Royal Marine, Stephen Curley whilst the Heart Of Courage award is in memory of Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux.

The opposition on the day will be a St Pats XIII and promises to be a fantastic curtain raiser to the trans Pennines NCL clash between the St Pats 1st team and the Leeds based Oulton Raiders.
As you can see by the poster there is a lot more going happening on the day so please support this unique event.

June sees the 10th Anniversary of the Warrington Armed Forces Day at Crosfields ARLFC, another full day of Rugby League sees the Corps Team open proceedings. The following is taken from the events FB Page

Crosfields ARLFC are once again immensely proud to host Warrington Armed Forces Day and the 10th Annual Tom Sephton Memorial Trophy festival!!! Get the date into your diary now, Saturday 29th June … it’s going to be the biggest and best FREE day out yet! With NO clashes with Super League fixtures this year we’re expecting a bumper crowd … where better to get another FREE Rugby fix?
Game 1 at 11:30 gets the senior rugby off to a BANG and sees a rematch from 2018 as the ROYAL MARINES RUGBY LEAGUE once again go into battle against the 'Young Guns' of the ARMY RUGBY LEAGUE ACADEMY. for the third year running the ‘Bootnecks’ narrowly took the spoils last year and took the honour of lifting the 'Birdsall Bowl'. The Pongo’s Academy team are still smarting at the loss … the only one of their season! This game promises to be an absolute belter, hard fast and aggressive rugby league!
Once again despite the early start the Royals would welcome your support!!
