Returning once again the Warrington Armed Forces Day at Crosfields ARLC the two teams opened the day on the main pitch providing the early bird spectators with another cracking match.

RMRL opened the scoring with an unconverted try to take an early lead but the Army hit back scoring 24 unanswered points before the break. A big hill to climb however Coach Sean Houghton's half time talk did the trick, a far better performance in the second 40 saw Royal take charge scoring a further 12 points without reply to close the game to 16:24. Sadly this was to be the final score and the Army Dev side retain the Birdsall Bowl
