With a wealth of experience in both of the Rugby Codes Luke has moved from playing to concentrate on preparing the players for upcoming matches.
27 year old Luke grew up in the Portsmouth area playing his first Rugby with Havant RUFC. After joining the Royal Marines in 2012 Luke played Corps RU as well as retaining playing links with his hometown side. In 2014 Luke started his Rugby League playing career representing RMRL and RNRL at Academy level.
Initially serving as a Heavy Weapons (Anti-Tank) Marine Luke transferred to the RN Physical Training Branch in 2017 gaining his Strength and Conditioning qualifications whilst on PT Course. Following qualification Luke immediately gained real time experience as assistant S&C Coach to the RN Rugby Union team throughout the 2017/2018 season.
Luke has now committed himself to RNRL keen to help the team in his own specialisation to achieve the first priority which is success at the next Inter Services campaign!
Whilst the RL season is dormant at the present time Luke has not been idle and has joined Jack Basher and Steve Penberthy in setting up the Covid 19 Fitness Challenge with all donations going to support the NHS in this most difficult of times.
