One of longest established 'State Of Origin' fixtures outside of Australia returns to Portsmouth after a 10 year gap. Once again the Blues of the Eastern Commands will take on the Maroons of the Western Commands, both sides looking to claim bragging rights for the rest of the season whilst individual players look to stake a claim to a place in this years Inter Services squads.

This years Origin Competition has added significance with the addition of the inaugural Womens origin fixture already the Origin bug has bitten with players vying for selection for as well as encouraging numbers attending weekly training sessions at HMS Collingwood.

By kind permission of the Commanding Officer this years Origin fixtures will be played on the pitch in front of the Wardroom at HMS Excellent which last hosted RNRL some 5 years ago for the inter Unit 9's competition.

Whilst all spectators are welcome, for security reasons Service or MOD Civilian ID cards will be required. Non service personnel may be admitted subject to being accompanied by service or MOD Civilian personnel
