Our match will open the days action on the field kicking off at 12 noon followed by the Championship clash between Featherstone Rovers and Swinton Lions at 3pm with the Womens game between Featherstone Rovers and Bradford Bulls rounding off the day at 5pm.

Last years corresponding fixture, the first between the two sides, proved great entertainment for the crowd as they made their way in for the Featherstone v York match. Despite going behind early on try’s from Jonny Griffiths and Sean Houghton with a conversion for Rhys Joel saw the Brothers ahead 10-4 at the break. The tough physical game remained finely balanced with both sides scoring unconverted try’s as the game moved into the last quarter, 14- 8. The game breaker was a 65 m breakaway try for Danny Dainty converted by Matt Gaskell taking the Brothers out to a 20-8 lead. The result was sealed by a final score for RNRL, Louis McKenna rounding off a great move from deep to give the Brothers the win.
