I have been constantly impressed by the innovation and resilience shown by the Association this year. Our commitment to each other and our communities has been heart-warming, if anything and despite not being able to train or play it has brought us closer together and we should take pride in that.
We hope to be ready to get back on the pitch by early summer after training and subject to rules and guidance which will give us a good run up to Inter Services 2021!
Beyond Inter Services we retain our commitment to tour and, with the Tri-Nation’s tournament now likely take place in 2022, next season is the time to compete for places. The ambition being to take both mens’ and ladies’ senior sides to either New Zealand or Australia whichever country hosts the tournament.
The excitement of this year’s Super League Grand Final has reminded us of how fantastic our sport is and so we look forward to getting back to playing as soon as regulations permit.
In the meantime, on behalf of all at RNRL, I thank you for your continued support and wish you a safe and Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year!
