Inter Services 2026 – Only A Week To Go

Inter Services 2026 – Only A Week To Go

Keith Humpleby

The climax of the Forces Rugby League calendar is only 7 days away with RNRL hosting the opening series of fixtures

RNRL welcome RAFRL to our Burnaby Road HQ for the first round of his years IS Series with the Senior Brothers out to avenge the narrow defeat last season at Belle Vue. That loss led to the Senior Mens IS trophy being decided on points and with ArmyRL beating RAFRL at Craven Park the Brothers regained the title last won in 2023.

Last season the RNRL Women scored a magnificent victory over the RAF to secure second place behind the ever-strong Army Womens side. That victory was massive for the Wrenegades, not by the winning margin but more for re-establishing RNRLW as a force to be reckoned within AF RL.

Our Academy Brothers had a mixed set of results last season losing to ARL at Burnaby Road before roaring back to beat the RAF at Belle Vue. This season then the Academy Brothers will look to a repeat of the 22, 23 and 24 seasons and bring the trophy back to HQ!

After the scorching summer the Burnaby Road pitch is greening up by the day and once again will provide a great surface for Fridays games. This far out the weather looks pretty good with no rain forecast for the middle part of the day and only a light breeze throughout the three fixtures.

Admission is free to all spectators, service or civilian, with bar facilities available from 1300.
Please note only drinks purchased from the Clubhouse Bar are to be consumed within the ground and in line with service policy Burnaby Road is a no smoking facility

Your support as always will be very much appreciated and we hope to see you at RNRL HQ for another fantastic day of Inter Services Rugby League!
