A great Challenge Cup day at HQ is summarised by RNRL Director Of Rugby Dave Garner on his journey home to Cheshire last night

Lads, Supporters & All,
I've just had a cracker of a 7 hr drive to chew today's game over.
In simple terms we came up against one of the best amateur sides in our game! Add to that playing a side with 3/4 players with Super League experience and various other players who represented GB on tour recently.
Our players did the Brothers' shirt proud and represented the Association in the oldest Rugby League Cup competition today. But do you know what as DoR I can 100% say......
1. We didn't look out of place at all against West Hull. We took the lead and could of gone 12-0 up bar lady luck!
2. For 20 odd minutes they weren't allowed to get going.
3. We never gave in scoring immediately in the 2nd half.
4. To gain respect of a side like West Hull is a great accolade to receive as a player and squad.
It was great to see the likes of Danny Fallon, Ruby Murray, Matty Bowker and Wayno all comment on how professional the lads looked also commenting on the tremendous shift they put in. Steve Lockton and staff take a bow

Also in the crowd more familiar faces from the early days of the Brothers, former RNRL Chairman Nick Stenhouse and another couple of ‘Hullites’ Nick Young former Team manager and Danny Johnson former RNRL player and Coach now UKAF Head Coach who joined in singing the praises of the Brothers line up on the day.

For me as DoR, the best thing today was seeing the US Stand and Bar full of our and West Hull supporters. Seeing the players families and new 'little uns' all together, Win, lose or draw as one big Rugby League family, that's special!

Finally, my personal thanks to all those families, loved ones and friends who travelled down. Your support is very much appreciated by all!
Simple.......with heads held high, we go again!
KIA KAHA!

Finally a big thanks to Jon Knighton and his team from BFBS who did a fantastic job of streaming the game live, aided by entertaining and inciteful summarising from our own Wayne Okell. As I sit down to watch the BBC coverage of this afternoons Challenge Cup fixture Jon has posted that current views on FB of yesterdays match footage has exceeded 17K! Amazing!
If you missed the game and want to see some great RL go to https://t.co/b7KATXctbw and have a look
Just lost the wobbly footage from Millom, doesn’t happen with BFBS!!
