Certainly unheard of in Royal Navy Rugby League and a rare event if not unique in the wider Rugby League was the sight of Brodie Lee-Butler and Dad Martin lining up against each other in yesterday’s game.
Brodie grew up playing for the Ince club graduating through the various age groups prior to joining the RN and legend has it that on one occasion Father and Son did play in the same Ince team!
Whilst the two were on the pitch facing each other Mum Marilese was on the touchline with other friends and family cheering the teams on especially the RN!
Brodie has recently completed RN Phase 1 Training and is currently at HMS Collingwood undergoing his Phase 2s OM(EW)
