Rachel commented on her rugby league career to date and her selection for the Scotland Women Squad
“It is an honour to be selected to represent Scotland Rugby League this season. I started playing rugby league 3 years ago, and gained my first RN cap during Inter Services of that year. In the 2025 season, I was part of the RN squad that beat the RAF for the first time in years. I then went on to be selected for UKAF, with us winning our fixture against Australia Wanderers. After attending Scotland trials this year, I have been invited into the First Team Squad. I am very excited to see what the girls can achieve this season”
Scotland Rugby League Women head coach Ady Picton announced his performance squad with the following statement
"What a great place we are in, the squad selection was very tough, with some players being so unlucky to miss out, my next problem will be selecting a test match team from the squad, there is now real competition in every position. As a coaching team, we are now looking forward to working with the squad over the next few months, in readiness for the 1st test of the year in July.
Congratulations to all selected!”
Go Well Rachel!
