2026 Season Fixtures Update

Keith Humpleby15 Apr - 06:40

A full and exciting lead up to Inter Services is on the cards with the new fixture list confirming a busy few months for all our teams

This year and for the first time both our mens and womens squads will undertake a Warm Weather Training Camp in the Valencia area on Spain’s east coast. Although relatively short in duration both camps will include fixtures against local sides. Whilst the Womens opposition is yet to be confirmed the Brothers will face the Alicante Tornados

Royal Marines RL stage the Corps Championships in early May with the RNRL Mens team heading out to Spain the same week. The RFL Presidents Cup competition begins on 13th May, UKAFRL are taking on the GB Teachers in the series opener. Finally in May, RMRL head up to Wigan to face Wigan St Patricks for the Elms Darbyshire Trophy on the 23rd of the month.

June promises to be a fantastic, albeit busy, month for all our teams featuring the RNRL State Of Origin match at Havant RFC. Always a highlight of our mens calendar this will be the 22nd staging of this fiercely contested match. The second Presidents Cup fixture features in June with AF facing the ever-strong England Universities and could be the deciding fixture in the series. Then it’s a ‘super Saturday’! To mark Armed Forces day we will have three games on Saturday 27th June so if you are a fan take your pick. Our Womens team, the Wrenegades, will welcome back all our dual code players from the RNRU season as they travel to Widnes to face the Halton Farnworth Hornets. The RM Corps side will once again take part in the Crosfields ARLFC Armed Forces day coming up against the old foes the Army Development side, always a cracker that one. Meanwhile across the border into Northumberland our Senior Mens squad will come up against the Scotland RL A, the match being staged as a curtain raiser to the Betfred Championship match between Newcastle Thunder and Whitehaven at Thunders Crow Trees Ground.

In comparison July is a relatively quiet month however the Wrenegades are in negotiation with the Wigan St Patricks Womens team for a fixture on Saturday 18th July. The mens teams will have a final Training Camp in Portsmouth ahead of the Summer Leave period to round off the early season

Straight after their return from leave the Wrenegades will head off to Spain for their Warm Weather Camp in preparation for the Inter Services Series starting wit the visit of RAFRL on Friday 11th September

Updates will be posted here and on our socials as kick off times etc are confirmed!
