The group gathered at the HQ of the Royal British Legion to be briefed by Catherine Henshaw who briefed on the work of the RBL and showed them round the HQ near the famous Borough Market.
Following the brief it was over the Thames at London Bridge to the Tower Hill memorial. This particular memorial remembers all mariners who have given their lives over the years be they military or civilian. Most notably those who served on convoy duty across the globe in the two world wars either on warships or merchantman. With due solemnity the wreaths were laid and a 2 minute silence observed in memory of those who had gone before.
Following the service the group were hosted for lunch by the Australian High Commission in Australia House before going their separate ways for other engagements. Time wise it may well have been a relatively minor part of the Tournament but nevertheless it was just as important as any 80 minutes on the pitch.
