A mighty second half performance by the Royals saw them home comfortably at Taunton this afternoon.

The Trafalgar Cup returns to the Corps for another year as the Royal Marines beat Parachute Regiment RL to take their tenth victory in the 16 meetings between the sides with a 54:18 scoreline. The final score was perhaps a bit of a shock as their was only a two point difference at halftime with the Royal Marines just ahead by 20-18. That all changed in the second half as the home sided scored 34 unanswered points to give them an ultimately straight forward victory.

Our correspondent on the clubhouse balcony highlighted full back Shaun Houghton as his man of the match for another standout performance, I hope to have the official man of the match details soon

Congratulations to the RM and hopefully a good number will have recovered enough to feature in the RNRL QinteiQ Origin fixture this coming Saturday at Petersfield RUFC, more detail elsewhere on this site.
