The Australian Tridents arrived safely on Sunday morning and moved to their base for the next two weeks, Fort Blockhouse in Gosport, to get over the jet lag and start their training for Saturdays clash. On the other side of the harbour the RNRL Brothers had a slightly less taxing journey to HQ in HMS Temeraire as they began their own preps for the tournament.
The first joint event of the week happened yesterday when the two teams joined together for an informal photo shoot onboard HMS Victory. A chilly Monday morning gave both sides an idea of things to come as the weather across the country is not due to warm up any time soon.
Both sides had their tournament kit on show with LS (Diver) Daniel Harris joining our own PO(AET) Ben Taylor to model the ‘stash’ . Thanks to Aerial Direct for supplying RNRL with this specially designed kit and to x-Blades for turning the design into reality!

Whilst this unique series is part of the Armistice Commemorations do not think it is just a showpiece both sets of players mean business so please come and join us at one or all of the three matches, after all it is UK v Australia!
