Brothers On The Road Again - RNRL v London Chargers

By Keith Humpleby

A quick turnaround for the bruised and battered bodies as RNRL is in action again this Saturday 13th July

Following the thriller against the Teachers last weekend Coach Steve Lockton is delighted to get another quality fixture in before the Summer Leave Break and Septembers Inter Services Series

Not such a long trip this week for the Brothers however its going to be another toughie against the Chargers who currently lead the Southern Conference Eastern Division having completed their fixtures. The title is still wide open though with some of their rivals having several games in hand at this stage of the season

The club itself was formed in 2013 - originally as South West London Chargers - after players and staff from two existing clubs, South London Storm and West London Sharks, merged.

Since the club’s formation, Chargers have consistently been one of the most successful amateur clubs in the UK with an impressive honours list for such a relatively young club:
London Premier League runners up: 2017, 2018
Conference League South Champions: 2016
Southern Premier Champions: 2013, 2014, 2015
Harry Jepson Trophy Winners: 2013, 2014, 2015
Brighton 9s Champions: 2014 & 2015
London Rugby League Club of the Year: 2014

The match is currently scheduled for a 2.30 pm kick off and will be played at the Old Blues RFC facility in New Malden details as follow

Dornan Fields
Arthur Road
Motspur Park,
New Malden
Surrey
KT3 6LX

Promises to be a cracking match so if you can make it to the game your support will be very much appreciated not only by the Brothers but by the Rugby League community in the area!
